Sky E _ Style photographs

Laural. Letinsky
Laural. Letinsky was born in Canada. She graduated in University of Manitoba in 1986. Her book “ After all” is a collection of still images. More specifically, all the images of abandoned, half-eaten food. In the beginning, (1/3 of the book)the images are about cups and boxes, including a white background. I feel uncomfortable when I am seeing all those rotten, half-eaten food on the white table. In my mind, white represents purity and perfection. Even a little dirty spot on the white table makes me feel uncomfortable. It ruined perfection. However, when I read more about the book, the objects on the table changes to cakes,  dead bird, raw fish, and half octopus. All the images are getting darker. I feel scared and nervous. The background is changing too from white to grey and then black. I started rethinking the photographs. What does she really what to tell the audience? From my point of view, she is telling us nothing is perfect. Face the fair and face reality. Being kind, don’t waste food and start care about the environment. We are nothing different than those “ trash.” We are not superior to any life in nature. When it talks replicate the style, I will shoot some of the used candles. I will name it “ it all ends”

Teun Hocks
Teun Hocks was born in Holland. I enjoyed his photographs a lot. The unique thing of his photos is that he combines different art languages in his work too. Instead of only taking pictures, Teun, sketches the scene and set the stage. He draws the scene on the wall and the floor; Later, he made a photograph of himself in it. Most of his photos have a delightful tone. He is a fantastic storyteller. All his works have a story behind it. More accurately, he tells half of the story. He communicates with the audience through the work and encourages the audience to complete the story. When I look at his job. Am I always wondering “ what will happen next to him? “ “ what happened before” He never answers. It seems like he went to adventure in the wonderland. When it talks to replicate the style, i could draw the scene from " the Alice wonderland" or from Peter Pan and then take photos of the scene.

Lars Tunbjörk

“Home, sweet home.” The first time when I grabbed the book, I thought that there would be many family members in the book. However, surprisingly, it is a collection of private houses and suburban area. The book documented the photographer’s early childhood neighborhood. However, He took those pictures decades later. The tone of this book is quiet and pleasant. Only a few photos have people in it. It is a book full of memory and emotion. It has views of the backyard, front roads, and windows inside the house. He makes me miss home after reading the book and reminds me of my childhood. We have swings at the backyard, and there was a huge tree. I climbed on it and fell once. If I need to replicate the style, I would love to go back to my hometown and find the original house I lived and take photos of it. Also, take photographs with a huge tree in the backyard. I love climbing that tree a lot even I fell once from it.
